Information for Delegates

VENUE

The 6th meeting of the Scientific Committee (SC6) will be held from 9 to 14 September 2018, in Puerto Varas, Chile, at the Enjoy Hotel. For accommodation options please see the “Accommodation” section below. 


REGISTRATION

Participants should register for the meeting in advance using the Registration Form.


LANGUAGE

All meetings will be conducted in English.  No translation service will be provided.


ACCOMMODATION

The venue for the meeting will be the Enjoy Hotel, located at Klenner 349, Puerto Varas, Chile.  This hotel is holding 35 rooms for SPRFMO until 9 August 2018 with the following prices:

  • Single or double: US$129 

In order to secure access to the preferential rates, delegates are strongly encouraged to use the booking form provided below and send it through to reservas@enjoy.cl; these rates will only be available until the 9th of August.

TRANSPORT

Delegates are responsible for securing their own transport between the Airport (Puerto Montt) to their hotel in Puerto Varas (20-30 minutes drive). There is plenty of alternatives of taxi and shared transfers just outside the airport.


VISA REQUIREMENTS

The Secretariat will issue general invitation letters upon request for the purposes of visa applications. The contacts from the host for visa-related matters will be Ms. Jacqueline Salas (jsquiroga@subpesca.cl) and Mr. Cristian Quezada (cquezada@subpesca.cl).


ELECTRICITY AND POWER

The voltage in Chile is 220-240 volts. The plug type used is L, and its socket also connects C-type plugs. There will be facilities at the meeting venue for computer use and access to the Internet.
