Issue 18 of the Regional Fishery Body Secretariats Network Newsletter --now a magazine-- has been released. The publication focuses on the 20th anniversary of the Network and the journey of the participating Regional Fishery Bodies (RFB) so far.
The quality of the biannual RSN Newsletter has been recognized by the communications group in FAO, and upgraded to a “Magazine.” SPRFMO makes continuous contributions to this initiative with content that covers its progress and development.
The Regional Fishery Body Secretariats Network RSN was established to facilitate information exchange among Secretariats. This is done through the biannual distribution of a RSN Newsletter, published by FAO and based on contributions from RFBs and other relevant partners.
RSN brings together the secretaries of RFBs and Arrangements, embracing a wide range of mandates and coverage areas, including inland and marine waters, capture fisheries and aquaculture, and a rich variety of species.
The members of the regional fishery body secretariats’ network are mainly regional fishery bodies (RFBs) and fisheries management organizations (RFMOs), as well as fisheries and aquaculture networks and scientific research centres.
