VISA

Each delegate is responsible for finding out whether they require a visa to travel to Vanuatu, including stopovers, as well as making their visa applications. The Secretariat is not involved in any stage of visa applications.

A list of the countries that require a visa to travel to Vanuatu is available on the Answer the Call of Vanuatu tourism page (updated May 2018). Further useful information can be found on the Department of Vanuatu Immigration and Passport Services.

The Secretariat issues one letter per delegation to support visa applications. Delegations are responsible for sending the Secretariat the list of delegates, providing the following details for each of them:

  • Name
  • Nationality
  • Date of Birth
  • Sex
  • Occupation
  • Organisation/Agency
  • Passport number

DELEGATIONS

As per Rule 2.1 of the Rules of Procedure, the names of all designated representatives and any alternative representatives, as well as names of experts and advisors are expected to be advised to the Secretariat as much in advance of the meeting as possible. Designating the Head of Delegation and the Alternative Representative is of great importance as they will be the only two people in the delegation to have emails sent with the working documents during the meetings.

PROPOSALS

Members intending to submit proposals to create or amend SPRFMO Conservations and Management Measures or regulations are reminded that these should be received by the Secretariat by 26 December. To help Members in this process, the Secretariat has created a section on the website that contains the word versions of the cover page template (summary of the proposal) and all CMMs and SPRFMO basic documents ready for download.

MEALS

Breakfast is included in the cost of the hotel room. The host has kindly announced that buffet lunch will be provided free of charge every meeting day, but not on break day (Thursday 13 February) -NOTE that beverages are not included in lunch and will have to be paid for separately by delegates. Even though lunch will not be provided on break day, the host has announced dinner will be provided on that day due to the potential evening meal unavailability outside of the hotel premises.
