REGISTRATION

Participants should register for the meeting in advance using the on-line Registration Form.  

Once at the venue, registration packs can be collected in the foyer of the meeting venue on either:

- Sunday 18 July 2010 from 2.00-4.00pm; or

- Monday 19 July 2010 from 7.45-8.15am



LANGUAGE

All meetings will be conducted in the English language.

 


ACCOMMODATION

Travel arrangements to and from the meeting are the responsibility of participants. 

The meeting is being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Auckland.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel was offering special room rates (in $NZ) for accommodation between the 18 - 23 July 2010 inclusive, however please note:

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

Information about the meeting and about Auckland City, the venue and Customs information is available in this General Information document.

Please note that Auckland experiences cool, wet winters.
It will be mid-winter when you arrive, so please ensure you bring some warm clothing.
 

You can expect average daytime temperatures of around 10 - 14 degrees Celsius, and 4 - 10 degrees Celsius at night.

NEW ZEALAND VISA REQUIREMENTS

Participants from countries who have a visa free arrangement with NZ do not need to apply for a visa before they travel.  A list of visa free countries (front page left hand side), as well as more detailed information about New Zealand visa requirements is available on the immigration website www.immigration.govt.nz.  Participants will need to have an outward ticket and evidence of sufficient available funds for their maintenance while in NZ.

Participants from countries who DO NOT have a visa free arrangement will need to apply for a visitor's visa.  Please see the Immigration website (www.immigration.govt.nz) for an application form, details of where to send your application, and the application fee.  Please click on "where to lodge your application" on the left hand side of the front page.  

Applications for visas can take several weeks to process, so please ensure that you make arrangements to obtain a visa well in advance.  Please also ensure that the application form is completed in full and that you include a letter from your employer or sponsoring organisation in your home country.

Note that participants who plan to transit to New Zealand via other countries such as Australia, should check to determine whether they need to arrange transit visas for these countries.

A current passport is also required by anyone entering New Zealand.  Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the date you intend to leave New Zealand.
