Vanuatu enjoys a warm, coastal climate. October is late in the dry season, hence temperatures are expected to range from 18 to 26 degrees Celsius. This means that light weight casual clothing plus a sweater is usually sufficient. The Vanuatu currency is the Vatu and credit cards are widely accepted. Visitors do not need vaccinations, anti-malarial medication is recommended if you are travelling outside of Port Vila and Efate.
More general information about Vanuatu is available in these travel tips.
Applications for visas can take several weeks to process, so please ensure that you make arrangements to obtain a visa well in advance. Please also ensure that the application form is completed in full and that you include a letter from your employer, or sponsoring organisation from within your home country.
The voltage in Vanuatu is 240 volts single phase at 50 hertz . The standard connectors and sockets are flat three pin plugs (as also found in Australia and New Zealand).
There will be facilities at the meeting venue for computer use and access to the Internet.
