SPRFMO invites proposals from data services providers
SPRFMO is an international inter-governmental organisation committed to the long-term conservation and sustainable use of fishery resources of the South Pacific Ocean. SPRFMO manages the non-highly migratory species of the South Pacific and the Convention Area accounts for an area that spans approximately 25% of the global high seas. The SPRFMO Secretariat carries out the administrative duties of the organisation and supports communications, compliance, science, and data management.
To facilitate the effective and efficient management and conservation of fisheries in the region, the SPRFMO Secretariat is inviting proposals for hosting and supporting a dedicated database (and associated web-based functionality) to efficiently and securely store fisheries information provided by SPRFMO Members. In addition, we are seeking improvements to the database and overall functionality to increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency, including an intuitive and easy-to-use interface for both data upload and retrieval. Such a database and associated interface will facilitate the ability of SPRFMO Members to comply with the SPRFMO data standards and act as a vital information repository which is available for use by managers, scientists, analysts, and in appropriate cases, the public at large.
SPRFMO is committed to ensuring that contracted services provide the greatest benefit to the organisation for the cost of services. The request for proposals document details the proposal submission process, the technical requirements of the services sought, and the criteria by which all proposals will be evaluated.
When submitting proposals, they must be clear, concise, and complete, and should only include information that is necessary to respond effectively to the RFP. Please note that incomplete submissions or submissions that contain ambiguities or lack sufficient detail or clarity, may be excluded from consideration.
All proposals must include:
- A letter of interest
