In accordance with the provisions of Conservation and Management Measure (CMM) 07 on Minimum Standards of Inspection in Port, the United States has provided the following information:
The advance notification request period for the United States is 96 hours.
The United States is designating all of its ports for the purposes of this CMM, subject to existing requirements under U.S. law regarding entry into and use of U.S. ports. Existing U.S. law restricts activities in U.S. ports and these restrictions are unaffected by CMM [07].
The U.S. point of contact (POC) for the purposes of receiving notices of arrivals from foreign fishing vessels seeking to enter U.S. ports is the United States Coast Guard (USCG). The specific USCG POC differs depending on the U.S. port, and all are managed by the National Vessel Movement Center. Notice of arrival may be made by electronic submission, email, fax, or phone, detailed at 33 Code of Federal Regulations (www.ecfr.gov) ยง 160.210.
