Request for Proposals: Audit of Special Purpose Financial Statements (FY 2026-2028)

The South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation (SPRFMO) invites Wellington-based audit firms with proven international experience in audits, preferably in the fisheries sector and/or international context, to submit proposals for the provision of external audit services for the financial years ending 30  June 2026, 2027, and 2028.

Scope: The appointed auditor will conduct an independent audit of SPRFMO’s annual financial statements, review internal controls, and prepare a management representation letter and present audit findings in a written report with recommendations for improvement, in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (New Zealand) (ISA NZ) and SPRFMO Financial Regulations (in particular Financial Regulation 10).

Eligibility: Firms must be members of a professional body affiliated with the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC); have demonstrated audit experience, ideally auditing international, regional, or intergovernmental entities and the fisheries sector; and confirm independence from SPRFMO.

Contract Term: Three years (renewable), commencing 1 July 2026.
